Albion boss' rap for woman ref

Albion Rovers manager Peter Hetherston could be in hot water after making a sexist
attack on Scotland's first women referee.

He felt Morag Pirie should have "been at home cooking" and not running the line in
his side's Third Division 1-0 defeat to Montrose.

Hetherston told the Scottish Sun: "I knew it wasn't going to be our day when I
arrived at Links Park and found that we had a woman running the line.

"She should be at home making the tea or the dinner for her man who comes in after
he has been to the football.

"This is a professional man's game. I believe that she shouldn't be here.

"Crucial decision are being made which affect players and managers. Every time the
ball went forward in the first half she had the flag raised for offside.

"That's how I feel and I think I have to speak out."
