Well im not sure if any of you will be interested in this but just thought i would share some info i received from a reliable source at the weekend. Mission & Coyote Loco is under new ownership. Coyote will be shuttin shortly and over a 8 week period is being re-styled and re-opened as a strictly over 21's club, but thursdays at mission are likely to stay the same, but other nites are open for review. All i know is they are somehow going 2 make it larger by cutting back on office space. Also they are converting 3 of the empty shops opposite the entrace of coyote into a pre-club type bar. Watch this space !!!

well i hope the new owners stop lettin 16 year olds in there!
lets hope they can turn mission around, and then maybe one day, it could be a decent club!
first off, they should change the name....i may be wrong, but mission is part of a chain??

They absolutely need to have a stricter door policy there - the majority of people I know stopped going there because of all the little kids in there.
I guess the situation just got so bad that they have to let the kids in to make money!
Remember when Mission first opened and the word on the street was that it was very difficult to get in? They even asked for ID to prove you were from Swindon.
I'm not sure if Mission in part of a chain or not. I have a feeling I've heard the 'Coyote Loco' name before, but the only Mission I know of is our one.
What is the point in making the place bigger? There's not enough people to fill it as it is! Mind you, saying that Coyote does seem to be busy most of the time.
What Mission needs is to be update a little - not a complete refurb, but new carpets which don't smell of sick/cheesey feet, a lick of paint, new dance floor etc. It needs to be given a touch of class to keep up with the rest of Swindon - Mission has been open at least 6 years now I think - it has had nothing like this done it all that time.
How is Mission meant to keep up with classier places such as The Apartment in the state that it is?
I think it could do with a bit of decorating and a new name - plus a nice classy pre-bar might help.
Then the developers will just have to keep their fingers crossed that it doesn't go down the same route as D&D!
At the end of the day, people will go to the popular place at the time - Mission used to be the 'in' place, it's just not anymore.

Mission isnt a chain, it's run by a bunch of pikeys who need to be shot. I doubt what Mission man is saying is true, sounds like another one of those stories. "oooh mission is closing down".
Its simple how to make it better. NO UNDER 18s, make it less stinky and the big one... Variation. Change the songs for fucks sake! Dont play any of that shitty Gangsta Rap and slap in some new tunes now and then.
Its just cheap shitty fuck twats who go there now. They need to be pushed back down to with the rest of the scummers.
No offence to anyone there.
The main problem isn't that it's not classy... it's that there's no reason to go there.
It used to be that it was fun and cheap. Well, there are cheaper places now and the quality of the music etc has really gone down hill. They need to decorate, I agree, but a yuppy venue is no good; it should target the 17-22 audience, most of whom have no money. Thursday nights need to be improved by me going there again.
Perhaps some kind of beer on tap? Real Ale? That'd be a good reason to go... on a dance floor with a tankard of 6X... Ahhhh

Is there any need for such a strict dress code every night? Maybe one night they could let a more 'casual' crowd in.
It's ridiculous that I couldn't get in wearing a t-shirt and decent trainers, but I could get in wearing a wide-boy Sherman shirt and Burberry cap!
Certainly more musical variation is important.

Nice avatar Sam!
The dress code is stupid; I forgot about that!

Mission is a chain.
Entertainment Lesuire Services. Mission, Route 66 and Cyote's. They also run a fair few doorman firms in Manchester and London.
