Early AM.

Time for a Pointless Alex Poll. This is about doing all-nighters, generally alone. Being awake for good reasons, but not necessarily enjoyable ones eg. working/waiting for a plane, rather than having a good time at a party/similar.

4 is by far the worst

I hate it when it starts to get light again as reality kicks in and I realise that it's a new day, I've had no sleep and am going to struggle to get through it!

I find midnight the worst. It's the point where you're starting to get tired, but aren't quite there yet. After that, you liven up a bit and/or have gone to bed.

3am cause you much more likely to die during this hour

I thought it was 4am? That was when the Gestapo/KGB used to break into houses.

Someone told me more people die between 3 and 4am then any other time of the night. Im sure i already knew that this is the busiest time at nights in emergency wards. And in my lecture we learnt that 3-4am is one of the three peak times that people fall asleep behind the wheel, so it all adds up to a deadly time to be awake.

Sounds pretty evil, all in all. I remember someone saying that 4am's the likliest time to have a heart attack, and feels the worst when you're woken up around then (assuming you've been asleep since around 11pm/midnight).
A mate of mine's a clinical medic (so she's going the rounds spending a few weeks in each department of our local hospital) and says she only marginally prefers the graveyard shift in A+E to the 11:30-12 pub kicking out time period.
